MADERA, CA – Three people were injured, including one in serious condition, following a head-on collision on State Route 41 in Madera.
According to local news, a woman from Fresno was driving south on 41 around 5:50 p.m. on Monday. She then crossed over the double yellow lines and struck an oncoming truck. It is not clear what caused her to leave her lane.
She then crashed into a rock embankment and became pinned inside her vehicle. After being rescued by first-repsonders, she was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition.
The two occupants of the truck also sustained minor injuries.
