MADERA, CA – A man was killed in Madera on Thursday after a head-on collision that also sent two woman and two children to the hospital.
According to the Fresno Bee, the accident occurred near the intersection of Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2 around 2:15 p.m. The 25-year-old victim was travelling east on Avenue 12 in a Saturn Ion that was attempting to pass a Dodge Caliber.
The Ion struck the Dodge and cause it to spin out before hitting a Chevrolet Traverse head-on. Two people were ejected from the Ion and rushed to Madera Community Hospital. The man died in the hospital and a woman suffered serious injuries.
A woman and two children in the Chevrolet were also hospitalized.
